I firmly believe that my mandolin camp is “for the rest of us.” I am striving to create a community of sharing and co-teaching that deconstructs the traditional teacher/student instruction model. Obviously, there will be those who possess more knowledge (that’s why some of you are coming to this camp). However, that knowledge can be […]
I am very impressed by what Fender is putting together in Indonesia. Frankly, I think the Squire’s out of Indonesia are every bit as good or better than Fender’s mid-priced line. I have a strat with three lipstick pickups that’s killer. Among those instruments, I would include the new Mando-Strat, a reissue of the classic […]
This year’s Richter Camp is almost a sell-out with only two spots left. 20 of 22 spots have been filled. I’ve currently locked the registration page, as I would like direct contact first before giving up the last two spots. I still want to make sure a couple of regular attendees are not able to attend. Please email […]
The 2013 Richter Mandolin Camp for the Rest of Us announces it is more than 2/3’rd full with only 7 spots left. Sponsored by MandolinCafe.com, Kimble Mandolins, and the Grant St. Inn, the Richter Mandolin Camp will be held for its third year in Bloomington, IN from July 25th through July 27th. Instructors are the […]
The iPad version of Richter Mandolin will be 50% off list price in the US and Canadian iTunes stores through Sunday 2/10. The sale price will be $4.99. Why a sale? Because I thought it was time to do one considering the book came out almost a year […]
All the information and registration materials needed for this year’s Richter Mandolin Camp for the Rest of Us have been posted. You will see the Camp link in the Menu above, or you can go here.
The 2013 Richter mandolin camp for the rest of us has been confirmed for 7/25 through 7/27. It will again be held at the Grant Street Inn. The plan is for myself and Don Julin to be your lovely instructors. Official announcement with registration information coming within the week.
The Kindle version of Richter Mandolin has been reduced to $6.99. I will hopefully have an update in the future for those very few who’ve bought this version of the book (and frankly, it doesn’t compare to the iPad version).
Richter Mandolin is now available at Amazon for the Kindle platform. As Amazon provides free standalone Kindle readers for Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, and other platforms, this version should hopefully satisfy those desiring a non-iPad or desktop-based version. It is available for immediate download: Buy at Amazon
