The Rain Song — Live Concert Performance with Laurelyn Dossett

This past week was my 10th annual Richter Mandolin Camp.  In terms of genre, it focuses on blues and rock.  For example I taught a class on Charlie McCoy and another on blues fundamentals, whereas I taught another course on arranging rock songs for mandolin.

This is one of my favorite arrangements of any I’ve done, Rain Song by Led Zeppelin.  Though has a couple clunkers, very excited by this very unrehearsed performance by me and Laurelyn Dossett (laurelyndossett.com).  Believe it to be one of the best and most unique covers you will find of the tune.

If interested in next year’s camp, let me know.  I’ve included the tablature of my arrangement.

My octave was built by my buddy Will Kimble (kimblemandolins.com)
