The EQUIPPABLE
For those who are equipment geeks/junkies like me, the following is a list of my instruments, gear, amps, etc.
Mandolins:
2008 Kimble A5 — red spruce top, one piece maple back, tone bar braced, varnish finish, radiused fretboard, Waverly tuners
1929 National Triolian mandolin — walnut sunburst finish, original cone, set up by Marc Schoenberger (National Guitar Repair)
1933/4 National Triolian tenor guitar – polychrome finish w/ palms on back, rare guitar shape, set up by Marc Schoenberger (National Guitar Repair)
Godin A8 electric/acoustic mandolin — spruce top, chambered mahogany body, built in electronics
Guitars:
recent G&L Classic ASAT deluxe — silver sparkle finish and maple neck/fretboard (gun oil finish), traditional Tele bridge
Amps:
1958 Gibson GA20T (two tone) — non original speaker–currently has a Ted Weber signature 12″ alnico speaker
1959/60 Fender Deluxe (tweed) – reconed Jensen P12R
Microphones:
Shure KSM27 — pretty much my go to mic for mandolin — great for both live sound and in studio recording
DI/PreAmp box:
90’s era Trace Elliott/Trace Acoustic Guitar preamp pedal — rare bird — pretty much the preamp section of a TA50 amp without the graphic eq. Rarely use now since I have the Godin A8 mandolin.
